Bishop Mark Webb’s Easter Message

On April 6, 2020, in Events, by MUMC

This celebration of Easter is unlike any most of us have ever experienced. We are living through unusual and extraordinary circumstances. The world has been changed; our routines have been disrupted, and lives have literally been turned upside down as we navigate the impact of the coronavirus.

Upper New York Area Resident Bishop, Mark J. Webb has released a video with an Easter message. In this message, Bishop Webb asks us to consider the possibility that the reason why this Easter is unlike any most of us have ever experienced is not because we can’t physically gather together in our churches, smell the Easter flowers, and wear our Easter clothes, but that perhaps, this Easter is different because God is using an extraordinary season to remind us of an extraordinary truth – Our God is in the business of rolling away the stones.

Please contact the pastor, Rev. Guerschom Saint Ange, 914-602-4128; Guersch@OptOnLine.net, with any needs for pastoral care or conversation. If unable to reach the pastor, contact Lay Leader, Debbie (Rockhill) Daby (ddaby@twcny.rr.com / cell: 315-806-4530) – she  will forward your message to someone who can help you.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea…… The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” – Psalm 46 –

God bless us all and keep us all healthy.
