JOB SUMMARY

Provides administrative support to the pastor and the church to meet the Church’s mission: Loving God. Growing Together. Serving the World. Provides ongoing communication between the church and the community. Follows all church policies and procedures.

Typical work schedule is weekdays, Monday through Thursday (16 hours)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Computer skills and experience in clerical/secretarial position required
  • Must exhibit good judgment and a high degree of confidentiality
  • Must be able to work with others in a warm, non-judgmental, courteous manner, have professional behavior and be a positive role model
  • Must be organized, have good communication skills with ability to follow oral and written directions and able to exercise independent thinking and judgment
  • Must have acceptable physical and mental health to carry out the responsibilities of the position including bending, stooping and stocking shelves
  • Follows Church’s Safe Sanctuaries policy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Positive screening review including background check
  • Education level: high school diploma or equivalent

Please note: Due to confidentiality for people seeking counseling from the pastor, the secretary cannot be a member of or regularly attending worship at Minetto United Methodist Church.
