Nursery Attendant


Ensures a safe environment for children in all aspects of the Nursery and related activities. Interacts with children, provides supervision and assists with activities and routine Nursery operations. Follows all Church policies and procedures.

Arrives at Church and in Nursery 15 minutes before worship (typically needs to arrive at 9:45 am for 10 am worship) and remains until all children have been retrieved by their parents / guardians and clean-up of the Nursery is complete (typically by 11:15 am).



  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have the ability and desire to work with children and their families
  • Must exhibit good judgment and be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to work with others in a warm, non-judgmental manner, have professional behavior and be a positive role model
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to follow oral and written directions
  • Must have acceptable physical and mental health to carry out the responsibilities of the position including lifting children, bending, stooping, and shelving toys
  • Follow Church’s Safe Sanctuaries policy



  • Positive screening review including background check
  • Education level: high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with child care preferred
